Ken is a Consultant Occupational Physician and a Visiting Professor in the Ulster University Business School. Ken had been Director of the NI Civil Service Occupational Health Service. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, Ireland and previous Dean. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine United Kingdom. Ken was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honour’s List 2015 for services to occupational health in Northern Ireland. Academic and published interests include employee mental health and stress, corporate health, employee wellbeing, employee engagement and occupational health advocacy.
